If coldfusion is operating in a Server Configuration, copy the 
SimpleGateway.jar file to <cfroot>/gateway/lib, and then restart
Coldfusion.

If coldfusion is operating in a j2ee configuration, copy the
SimpleGateway.jar file to <cfroot>/runtime/gateway/lib, and then
restart.

From there, consult Macromedia's documentation on how to deploy
a custom event gateway:
